It's not hard for me to be caught up by the stress that work imposes on me. I can easily find myself losing hours at a time editing photos or doing unnecessary research on the computer. As a result my boyfriend has put in long hours on the x-box and learned to be very patient with my hobbies and interests. Yesterday I saw this video The Door by Ava DuVernay presented by Miu Miu and have become obsessed. Not just because of the fantastic Prada and Miu Miu fashion but the story line was phenomenal, the acting was even better, and the soundtrack has me crying and singing and dancing and listening to it far to loud.
My favorite song in the film was easily For Love by Goapele. I do many things for love; photography, styling, blogging, writing but none of these could ever become a substitute for the love I have for mi amour. He has never complained about me taking to long to snap a photo or let me feel alone even when he's not there. He has spent hours waiting on me, listening to me ramble and has gone far out of his way to make sure I never miss an opportunity. Our long talks on philosophy, psychology, the universe, the future and ourselves have inspired my critical thinking and encouraged me to never stop trying to learn and grow. Although he may not be a fashion-fanatic like myself he has supported me every single day and I could never be grateful enough for what he has given me. Since I don't get to talk about him often enough on the blog today I am paying tribute to the love of my life.
